One of the region's leading rural property agents Broadley and Coulson, has taken a step back in time after taking a County Durham based business onto its books, which stems back to senior partner David Coulson's childhood.

As a baby and young boy, David would visit High Stoop Garage in Tow Law with his grandfather who used to farm nearby and purchase fuel from the then filling station. Now a haulage business, David's services have been called upon to sell the property as a whole or in lots.

Proprietor Raymond Wright, plans to semi-retire following the sale of the business. He says: "I approached Broadley and Coulson to help to sell my property because I am aware of David's extensive local knowledge and expertise. In this economic climate I felt that these qualities were essential."

"Given that I have known David and his family for many years, it is great to work with him in a professional capacity as I know I can completely rely upon him."

Located in a prominent position with easy access to Darlington and Edinburgh via the A68, the haulage yard with large garage/workshop building has a 24 hour operating licence for 16 vehicles and 28 trailers. High Stoop also brings in an extra £5,000 per annum through rent for a telecom mast which is on site.

David says: "High Stoop has been a family-run business since the 1950s and with the long-term potential on the residential side of the property, its prime location and the extra income from an on-site mobile phone mast, it is sure to be snapped up sooner rather than later."

The property boasts a three bedroom detached bungalow with an open fronted garage and comes complete with lounge/dining area, kitchen/breakfast room, family bathroom, utility room, conservatory and garden. The bungalow is also laid throughout with beautiful Canadian oak flooring.
